Factory Safety Lines for Commercial, Retail, Industrial & Institutional Properties Throughout Ontario

Factory Safety Lines Create a Safe Working Environment

APS has a proven track record of factory safety line layouts and installation. Factory function, productivity and efficiency increase with proper safety line installation, not to mention improved safety. Factory safety lines organize high traffic areas, specify walkways, designate loading areas and zone off storage areas. Bring complete order to fast paced facilities, weather that be manufacturing, distribution or warehousing.

FACTORY SAFETY LINE DESIGN AND LAYOUT

It's important to build the correct plan to meet the needs of your facility from the treatment to the colours. We can assist you with what lines you should be marking, how to evaluate how much to add and how to keep within your budget. It comes down to what your looking to accomplish and how long your wanting your system to last. There are 3 factory line systems available including temporary, semi-permanent and permanent.

FACTORY SAFTEY LINE SYSTEMS

  1. Temporary – which includes standard paint and is the most economical in the short-term
  2. Semi-permanent – which uses epoxy coatings sealed with urethane
  3. Permanent – the most durable in high traffic areas epoxy coatings are sealed with urethane and applied to shotblasted concrete.

TEMPORARY SAFETY LINES

Temporary lines would be standard yellow traffic paint. These could last a reasonable amount of time, depending upon how much the lift truck operators drive over or drag & drop product on them.

SEMI-PERMANENT SAFETY LINES

Semi-permanent lines use epoxy paint sealed with a urethane. Life span depends on the traffic and wear and tear.

PERMANENT SAFETY LINES

Permanent lines would involve shot-blasting the floor first where the lines are to go stripping off the top of concrete. This cleans and roughens the concrete surface for a tight bond between the concrete and the epoxy. The blasted areas are sealed first with a clear epoxy then painted with safety yellow urethane. The urethane permanently bonds with the epoxy making it extremely permanent and very difficult to scrape off.

SAFETY LINE TREATMENTS

  • Photo illuminescent (glow in the dark) surface treatments
  • Antislip surface treatments
  • Epoxy, ultraviolet and thermoplastic coating solutions

SURFACE PREPARATION

Surface preparation is very important before painting factory safety lines. APS prepares the floors to ensure the concrete is ready to be painted so your safety lines will last as long as possible. We prep the concrete with diamond grinding or shotblasting before applying paint or coatings.
